Foreign Training Prohibition:
Is Your Certificate a Risk?

URGENT COMPLIANCE NOTICE:

DG Shipping India has prohibited unauthorized foreign entities from marketing or conducting STCW training within India. Certificates from such courses are now Deemed Invalid for INDoS/CDC processing.

Zero Distance Learning

Online or distance learning CoC/CoP courses from foreign providers are strictly prohibited unless DGS-approved.

MTI Reporting Mandate

Indian MTIs must report any solicitation from foreign entities. Non-reporting results in immediate blacklisting.

Invalid Credentials

Any seafarer holding a certificate from an unauthorized foreign course will face INDoS blocking and a sailing ban.

RPSL Agency Watch

Agencies are barred from recruiting seafarers who have obtained certifications through unauthorized channels.

Approved Training Logistics

Since foreign distance learning is prohibited, mariners must travel to DGS-Approved MTIs in Indian maritime hubs (Mumbai, Chennai, Kochi) for authentic training.
